Anyone else feel like basic, no-frills cars are becoming extinct? Seems like features like adaptive cruise control and fancy infotainment systems are becoming the norm, even on cheaper rides.

Adaptive cruise control, Apple/Android Auto - Infotainment system, power everything and heated seats (no for steering wheel). Now these are good to have.

Some of this stuff is cool, but for me, a good phone mount and a decent Bluetooth connection do the trick. Plus, all these new auto features add complexity andcost. Maybe the real answer is a good, used car? The warranty is also a big selling point, but is it worth giving up the simplicity of an older car?

As much as I love modern cars (EVs in particular). I'll forever be an old school fan. I don't know but there's just an unmatched sense of connection and control I get when driving an old car. Or maybe I'm just getting old already

I agree with @Scarnicer. The main reason I like the Mirage is the 10-year powertrain warranty. That's a major selling point for me. The 5-year bumper-to-bumper warranty is also a big plus. Used cars can sometimes have hidden problems, so having that warranty provides a lot of peace of mind.

Warranties are a big deal when you're buying a new car, especially if you want to worry less about repairs.

You really gotta decide what's more important to you: simplicity or all the extra features. It depends on what you need and how much you're willing to spend.

I've also had the chance to drive those classic, simple, beautiful cars. But when you think about it, what about the convenience of hands free driving, 360-degree airbags, automatic brakes when you're unable to stop, the rich sound system, navigation guidance, parking assist, and all the other advanced features that come with a modern car? These innovations really change the driving expereince and add a level of safety and comfort that older cars just can't offer.

Yeah, modern cars offer such incredible convenience and safety features that truly elevate the driving experience, making older cars feel less practical.

I totally get what you mean! It feels like cars are getting more complicated and expensive with all the extra features. Sometimes a simple reliable used car with just the basics is the way to go. The warranty is nice but I agree simplicity has its perks
